Why it exists
Treasury teams in Europe check the same numbers every week: euro exchange rates, overnight rates, the cost of hedging and central-bank dates. Free sources often mix data with opinion or don't say where a number comes from. This site puts those numbers in one place, taken from the original publishers, with every source named.

Method
1. Every figure comes from a public primary source: the ECB, Deutsche Bundesbank, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Bank of England, the central banks' own calendars, and the companies' own filings.
2. Data is collected automatically, and each download is recorded with its time and a file fingerprint, so every figure can be traced back to its source.
3. Missing data is shown as "missing". It is never estimated or carried over from the previous week.
4. Our own calculations (volatility, theoretical forward points) are labelled as such, and the method is stated on the page.
5. Statements about direction are checked by script against the numbers before publication. There are no forecasts and no recommendations.

Update rhythm
Weekly brief: every Friday, with data as of Thursday. FX Impact Tracker: once a year, after the companies publish their annual reports.

Corrections
If you find an error, please email data@reengineertreasury.com. Earlier issues are never edited silently. If an error is found, the issue stays as published and a dated correction note is added at its top; the correction is also listed below.

What this is not
